The Role…

We are seeking a manager who is witty, bright, hard-working and has great social skills that have had relevant experience in a busy and high-volume bar/restaurant. The manager must have strong people and leadership skills. Very good administrative background. Knowledgeable in wines and cocktails.

To oversee and direct the seamless running of the restaurant, by providing a highly efficient and effective service whilst ensuring that all financial and statutory requirements are met and supporting the delivery of outstanding customer service. To implement delivery of the business strategy, in conjunction the General Manager. Preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and providing excellent service accompanied by rememberable experiences to all guests who visit Sweet & Vicious. You will be responsible for professional behavior, charisma, and positive energy to create a fun environment that drives conversation and sales. A successful Bartender will greet customers, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. To succeed as a Sweet & Vicious Bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.

Job Purpose

To oversee and direct the seamless running of the restaurant, by providing a highly efficient and effective service whilst ensuring that all financial and statutory requirements are met and supporting the delivery of outstanding customer service.

Objectives & Goals

  • Effectively oversee and direct the restaurant in a smooth and operational manner

  • Assist in managing all staff members in the agreed standard of food service during shift

  • Guide and lead by example in all areas of restaurant conduct

  • Develop a positive and direct relationship with all colleagues

  • Liaise and co-operate effectively with all other associated members of staff in relation to all aspects of the production and service of food

  • Ensure the standards and controls for health requirements are maintained, manual handling and produce are maintained as prescribed by city Health Department codes, everything in bar fridges is properly dated.

  • Assist with training and developing employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties

  • Assist in communicating and delegate activities to the team

  • Promote the safe use of the restaurant, its equipment, and building under the Health and Safety at Work act, Hygiene, and other regulations

  • Assist in fostering a culture of flexibility. Responding quickly and positively to changing requirements whether within the department or outside to meet business demands and guest service needs

  • Ensure all customer requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively

  • Positively deal with and learn from all customer complaints and comments

  • Respond to any changes in the restaurant as dictated by the needs of the operations and the company

  • Be aware of all relevant suppliers and their products and order accordingly as and when necessary due to business demand

Requirements…

  • Must have a minimum of 3- 5 years of managing experience in a high-volume setting.

  • Exceptional customer service skills, team player attitude, and ability to multi-task are a must!

  • Must have open availability and NYC food protection certification. TIPS/Alcohol Training certification is a plus.

  • Must have basic beer, alcoholic drinks, and craft cocktail knowledge.

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands, including the ability to clean up after customers and work areas.

  • Must have some sort of social media presence, preferably Instagram and Facebook.

  • Direct experience collecting payments and operating a POS system.

  • A customer service orientation that is both friendly and helpful.

  • Skilled in monitoring and maintaining an inventory of supplies.

  • A knack for memorizing and mixing ingredients.

Job Type: Full-time & Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
